The Val Louron ski resort is renowned for its tranquillity. Val Louron has 17km of slopes that cater for all levels. New facilities have been put in place such as a beginners area to make learning easier. Val Louron has taken advantage of its small size, by offering a multitude of ski and fun related activities. At the foot of the col de Peyresourde there is the Balestas cross country area. You can ski on varied trails in the middle of the forest ranging in levels of difficulty. The Louron valley offers many snowshoeing hikes and husky drawn sleigh rides set in the Nordic area of the Louron valley.
